Middle Country READS, an initiative jointly sponsored
by Middle Country Public Library and the Middle
Country Central School District, provides an opportunity for community
unity through its use of the One Book
philosophy. One Book projects are community-wide reading programs,
which the community “shares” the
same book. It is the hope of the Library and the School District that
by sharing the experience of reading the
same book, the community will come together in conversation and that
new relationships will form between
individuals, families, and businesses.
The 2019 selection is The Story of Arthur Truluv by Elizabeth Berg.
